Pictures from our crazy, busy week-before-Christmas fun!

During our math lessons, we've been learning counting strategies...count and scoot, count and touch, and ten frames.

We also read A LOT of versions of the Gingerbread Man story.  We made a chart to show ways the stories were the same and different.  We also made connections (If I were a Gingerbread Boy/Girl..., painted gingerbread house pictures, decorated cookies, and, FINALLY, decorated houses!

SO FUN!!!

THANK YOU for making my birthday memorable!  I was sooo surprised by all the treats!
(except I'm pretty sure I'm only turning 40.... 50 seems too old!!)

Last week we got together with our 2nd grade buddies again to talk about GIVING.  We made handprint wreathes for the residents of the Sauk County Health Care Center...they turned out so beautiful!!

Hello again!  It's been almost 1 month since my last blog post...yikes!!  SO SORRY!
We have been busy...learning about characters and settings, playing with sounds and building words, comparing numbers and measuring.
We've also been talking about the first Thanksgiving, and today we had a "feast" with our second grade buddies!

Country Bumpkin was SO MUCH FUN!  What a great way to celebrate fall!!
