We are trying to grow a veggie salad in our room!  Lucy's mom dropped in on Wednesday and brought a bagful of vegetables along.  We cut off the tops...or bottoms...put them in water and are waiting patiently :) to see what will grow!  Here are some pictures....

And after 2 days, there is already some new growth!!!

We have been celebrating Spring in kindergarten!  In March, we talked about the weather and made clouds in our room.  We also drew adorable bunnies (coming home soon :) and wrote lists of things we like to do (just like that busy Easter Bunny).  Now, we are learning about plants...today we "picture read" Jack and the Beanstalk, then planted bean seeds.  We also made castle stakes to hold the plants once they start to grow.

During math centers, we are doing activities to practice geometry (using tangrams), learn about place value (showing teen numbers with 10s and1s), comparing numbers using the "greater than" symbol,  building 3D shapes, and using a QR reader on the ipad!
