We had a great day in kindergarten making gingerbread houses!  Thanks for sending in all the supplies to make our houses look colorful and yummy.  (And, believe it or not, MOST of the treats went on the frosting not in our tummies :)

And....here's a picture of our TRADITION TREE...it was so heartwarming to hear the children share their family stories!!

It was Election Day in kindergarten!  After reading the story DUCK FOR PRESIDENT we filled out ballots to vote for our choice as leader of the farm...duck or farmer Brown.  It was soooo close...be sure to ask your child who won :)

Finally...some pictures from our trip to Country Bumpkin last week... (sorry, the pictures aren't great, but we had LOTS of fun :)

During our theme time in the afternoon, we've been learning about owls.  Today we checked out pellets, to see what owls eat.  Super cool!!

We had a GREAT adventure with Mr. Williams today!  It was perfect weather to be nature detectives.  We even saw an alligator!?!?

Yesterday we visited the Pineview garden with Mr. Peetz (our assistant principal).  We had SO MUCH FUN exploring and taste testing the veggies.  We even had apple and pear slices from the "orchard" for snack!

On Monday during our writing lesson we practiced drawing people the "kindergarten way".  Addison was our model and we drew her with detail.  (This will give us practice drawing characters for our stories.  We also talk about character details during story time...what they're wearing, their hair color, etc.) After the lesson, everyone found a writing spot to tell a story.
