One of the most rewarding parts of being a kindergarten teacher is watching the children begin to recognize and read words.  This is the time of year when it all starts to "click"!  Everyday after our reading lesson, we "practice" reading.  We are trying to build our reading muscles, and last week we read for 12 minutes!  The children also have the opportunity to read to their "reading buddy", and talk about their stories.  This week our lessons will focus on picture walking through a story to predict what it will be about, and thinking of words we might see in the text.

  1. Mrs. Roth,
Thank you for all that you do to support the learning of our kinders. The blog is awesome! What a great way to keep up with everything that is happening in class. I look forward to seeing what you're up to next!
