We had a very special visitor come to our class today....Lucy's mom!  She told us all about Lucy's fight against cancer (leukemia).  She brought a special treat to help us learn about blood...she used cereal to show us that our blood has red cells, white cells, and platelets.  (But Lucy's also has some bad cells, that she is using medicine to fight.)  We felt like scientists!  We also got a "Lucy's Fight Club" bracelet to wear.  Lucy has been SOOO BRAVE...and she only has 1 treatment left!
